Biography

„Songwriting became the very essence of my life.“

Growing up in the countryside I spent a lot of time out in the woods. Listening to the wind in the leaves and all the nature around me I soon realized that everything is sound. Starting a classical piano training with age 5, my way into music was curvy and accompanied by paintings and sculptures, writing, and the studies of philosophy and musicology. My most popular fine art works are the sculptures to the music of Arnold Schönberg, Alban Berg and Anton Webern, situated at the University for Music and Dramatic Arts at Palais Meran Park Graz. My way also lead me through free improvised music in the field of avant-garde jazz, where I performed in New York, London, Venice, Vienna, etc. Twice I got the award of "Best Vocal Release" by the gazette The New York City Jazz Record. I produced numerous albums and had exciting collaborations with wonderful musicians like Oliver Lake.

Finally, all these experiences are captured in my songs. My artwork of today is to write lyrics that give you a clear story within 3 to 4 minutes, paired with music that perfectly expresses its mood. And yes, I still believe that music can change our life.

"Songwriting ist die Essenz meines Lebens geworden."

Als Kind verbrachte ich viel Zeit in den Wäldern. Dem Wind in den Blättern lauschend und all die Natur um mich herum wahrnehmend erkannte ich bald, dass alles Klang ist. Im Alter von 5 Jahren begann ich mit einer klassischen Klavierausbildung. Der Weg zur Musikerin war kurvenreich und schwierig, begleitet von Malerei und Bildhauerei, Schreiben und den Studien der Philosophie und der Musikologie. Mein prominentesten Skulpturen zur Musik von Arnold Schönberg, Anton Webern und Alban Berg stehen im Palais Meran Park der Kunstuniversität Graz. Mein Weg führte mich auch durch das Feld des Avantgarde-Jazz im Stil frei improvisierter Musik, wo ich in New York City, London, Venedig, Wien etc. zahlreiche Auftritte hatte. Zwei Mal wurde ich von der Gazette The New York City Jazz Record als "Best Vocal Release" ausgezeichnet. Ich habe viele Alben produziert und genoss die Zusammenarbeit mit wunderbaren Musikern wie beispielsweise Oliver Lake.

Letztlich sind all diese Erfahrungen in meine Songs gefasst. Meine heutige Kunst besteht darin, Texte zu schreiben, die in 3 bis 4 Minuten eine vollständige Geschichte erzählen, gepaart mit einer Musik, welche die jeweilige Stimmung exakt ausdrückt. Und ja, ich glaube immer noch daran, dass Musik ein Leben verändern kann.
